The Paper Road Society of New Zealand exists to protect your rights along Public Roads
These are publicly owned strips of land across private land.
They are very valuable as they provide an important access right and have recreational value in their own right - that can be used as is when marked, or can be negotiated to gain more direct or other access of the same quality, across private land.
We strongly oppose moves by some district councils to abolish such roads.
We will lobby and advocate to reopen such roads when seized illegally by adjoining landwoners
Where appropriate, we will negotiate alternate routes of similar quality where this is convenient to both user and adjoining landownser

NEWSFLASH - PRS Goes Incorporated Proposed Constitution here
Welcome
This site is dedicated to the sharing of information. But don't expect anything to be done for you - take action yourself. We can help, but we can't be everywhere.
Keeping quiet about the little paper road you enjoy may be pragmatic in the short term, but as soon as it is threatened either by Council or adjoining land-owner, you need the support of others in the fight for retention.
The site is regularly visited by Government Departments - whether that is persons who share our belief in safeguarding our precious birthright, or whether they are simply monitoring what we are doing - who knows. And it matters not, for all are welcome.
Use the Bulletin Board to air views of common interest, advise of new threats to roads in your area, or contribute to the advice and information offered to those who do choose to fight - if nothing else, offer support.
